Hello XXXX,
I apologize but I don’t understand French very well. Do you have 4 double rooms available? Is it that they only have 1 big bed?
Thanks for your help.
Marco
LEI =
YES I HAVE ONLY ROOMS WITH 1 BIG BED !
Ora…posso sapere perchè questi qui si permettono ancora il lusso di capire benissimo l’inglese, rispondermi in francese e sembrare addirittura scocciati quando devono convincermi a prenotare una stanza??????????
Perchè??????????
Incredibile…

I’m french and I try to speak english but the majority of french people don’t speak english (France is the 69th country for english speakers). As the french are not travelers and as France is the first touristic destination in the world, the french consider (with pride) that they don’t have to move elsewhere or learn another language. They consider the anglo-american culture threatening for the Quebec-belgo-swisso-french culture. They also think that teaching efficiently english to all of us would be like starting the americanisation of our youngest generations. For those who do speak english they will use it only as an ultimate possibility. In that case she was surely considering that you could use a web-translator to understand her french. I’m sure she felt offended to be forced to speak english in her own country. I always feel ashamed of this weird patriotic attitude. Sorry for that.
